Tonight's Parish Council meeting is POSTPONED
MORVAL Parish Council’s monthly meeting, scheduled for tonight, has been postponed, because of the weather warnings currently in place from the Met Office.
A new date will be arranged as soon as possible, and advertised through the usual channels.
Other local authority and community meetings in Cornwall tonight have already been cancelled and the ‘Stay at Home’ advice seems to be inherently sensible given the Storm Ciarán forecast.
Council chairman Andy Jackson apologised for the short notice of the postponement.
“The weather forecast seems to be changing hourly but, clearly, there is a storm on its way and the last thing any of us wants is for someone to be hurt when they could have stayed at home,” he said.
“We will arrange a new date for the November meeting and punish it as soon as we can. I hope everyone stays safe tonight and tomorrow.”
