Have your say on blueprint for nature recovery
RESIDENTS, farmers, businesses and landowners have until tomorrow night to comment on plans to restore nature.
The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Nature Recovery Strategy’s public consultation period runs until 5.00 pm on Monday, January 6 (2025).
It is a statutory blueprint which aims to help guide how wildlife can be restored, enhanced and protected across the region.
Developed by Cornwall Council, in conjunction with the region’s Local Nature Partnership, the Council of the Isles of Scilly and the Isles of Scilly National Landscape group, the strategy features a map of the existing most valuable areas for wildlife and opportunities to recover nature; suggestions of immediate short-term priorities and actions for nature; some nature-based solution ideas, such as natural flood management to make communities more resilient to climate change, and case studies to help inspire residents to take action for nature.
The consultation runs until 5.00 pm on Monday, January 6 (2025) and the full strategy document can be viewed at: https://cornwall.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8b22106188babc3bc72a50b07&id=cf4d070c87&e=3420d0621c
