Cornwall housing need increases again
CORNWALL Council’s ‘Affordable Housing’ report for November reveals that some 22,290 households are currently on the Cornwall Social and Affordable Housing Register – up 1,170 since September.
It also notes that there were 21,120 households registered on the Cornwall Homechoice social and affordable housing register (as on August 26 this year) with 13,140 known second homes in Cornwall and 2,652 properties believed still to be long-term empty.

Since April this year there have been 372 planning permissions granted for Affordable Homes, and a further 89 that were part of Outline Applications or ‘Permissions in Principle’.
