Former school teacher mourned
THE funeral of much respected former Trenode Church of England School deputy head teacher Heather Garden takes place at St Wenna’s Parish Church, Morval at 11.00 am on Monday (March 24).
Mrs Garden, who formerly lived at Plaidy, East Looe, died peacefully at Mount Gould Hospital, Plymouth, on February 22. She was 96.
Wife of the late Alan, Mrs Garden was much-loved mum, mother-in-law, grandma and great-grandma, whose time at Trenode, serving under such teaching alumni as former headmistress Mrs Mary Bonson, will be fondly remembered by many, many children who attended the village school in the 1970s and 80s.
