Cornwall housing need increases again

CORNWALL Council’s ‘Affordable Housing’ report for November reveals that some 22,290 households are currently on the Cornwall Social and Affordable Housing Register – up 1,170 since September

It also notes that there were 21,120 households registered on the Cornwall Homechoice social and affordable housing register (as on August 26 this year) with 13,140 known second homes in Cornwall and 2,652 properties believed still to be long-term empty.

You can find Morval Parish’s registered housing need statistics, along with a host of other housing facts, figures and information can be found at: https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/housing/housing-intelligence

Since April this year there have been 372 planning permissions granted for Affordable Homes, and a further 89 that were part of Outline Applications or ‘Permissions in Principle’.
