Tourism summit returns after four-year break
VISIT Cornwall will host a two-day ‘Tourism Summit ’ in the New Year, bringing together industry leaders, tourism professionals, and business owners with the object of to driving the future of the holiday sector.
Open to everyone, the ‘summit’ takes place at the Alverton Hotel in Truro on Wednesday and Thursday, January 15-16.
It is the first major event of its kind since 2020, and Visit Cornwall says that it will provide a rare opportunity for anyone to learn from some of the most respected voices in the sector, as well as offering peer support for tourism businesses in Cornwall.
Said Visit Cornwall chairman Jon Hyatt: “We look forward to gathering with tourism businesses to discuss key local issues facing the sector, and shaping the success of Cornwall’s visitor economy for 2025 and beyond.”
Speakers already lined up include Patricia Yates, chief executive officer of VisitBritain/VisitEngland, giving an update on the priorities of VisitBritain, and Kate Nicholls, the chief executive officer of UK Hospitality.

Discounted rates are available for those with an active Visit Cornwall membership, and ticket costs include refreshments throughout the day, as well as lunch.
