Advice for tree planters in the Parish
EVER heard of Koos rag Kernow? No, me neither…
However, if you are a devotee of the Cornish tongue you won’t need telling that it stands for ‘Forest for Cornwall’, an organisation that has just published its latest newsletter, looking back at events over the summer and peering head to the next planting season.
The newsletter has details about an upcoming workshop event in the Tamar Valley, near Gunnislake, and advance warning about similar events planned for Cotehele, near St Dominic, and Lostwithiel, in the New Year.
There is also information about some grey squirrel management training events being planned at Lanhydrock, near Bodmin, and the Pentillie Castle Estate, near St Mellion.
Incidentally, Sorcha Hitchcox, who is the communications and project development officer at Cornwall Council’s natural environment services unit, says that she would like to hear from anyone who is considering tree planting in Morval Parish, and she is willing and able to offer advice and support.
Her contact number is 07714 275 804
